This hall features the portraits of Nebraska's First Ladies and Gentlemen. Mrs. Charles Bryan started the collection in 1932 and during the remodeling, the pictures were reframed and better lighting & gold leaf outlining the collection were added.

On the left wall, top row, the first six pictures are of the Wives of the territorial Governors. The last picture on the top row is Mrs. David Butler, wife of Nebraska's first State Governor.

There was no picture of Mrs Savage for many years because she was very superstitious and did not permit pictures. However, this picture of her standing on the USS Nebraska, was sent to the residence in 1972.

Most of the ladies are dressed in their Inaugural Ball gowns. The first Inaugural Ball was held in 1854. In 1867, Nebraska became the 37th state.
